What is a liger? Are ligers real? Ligers, Tiglons, & Tigons Information
Furry Bones™ is the leading source for animal information. A liger is a mammal and big cat. The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a tigress, hence has parents with the same genus but of different species. It is distinct from the similar hybrid tiglon. A tiglon or tigon is a hybrid cross between a male tiger and a lioness, hence has parents with the same genus but of different species. The tiglon is not currently as common as the converse hybrid, the liger; however, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, tiglons were more common than ligers. The liger is the largest big cat in the world, many people have tried domesticating cats of this size but it usually ends in injury, death, or mild success.

A liger is a lion and tiger mixed. One day I was hunting for the mighty, one and only, liger. I was searching in wet grassy swamps.
Then a huge liger popped out from behind. The liger was enormous, it lookt about 16 or 17 yards long not including its tail. It was about 15 or 16 yards tall. I pulled out my sword, but the liger hit it away. Then it charged at me! I jumped to the side. I grabbed my sword. Then I ran to the liger. The liger roared and a bunch of other cats came running up.
When the liger least expected it I ran up to it and stabbed it in the thigh. The liger fell with a bang. Then I realized it was part tiger too, but much bigger, stronger, and faster. I got my sword and threw it at its head. The bottom of the sword hit its head and knocked it over. I grabbed my sword and ran.
I ran for miles and miles, days and months. I hid in trees and water. I rested in homes and lived off of berries. I would drink from lakes. I got attacked by cats once or twice a day.
Finally, I found what I have been searching for. I found a military test site. I jumped over the fence and ran to a fake house. All of the cats came to me. I saw a missle coming so I jumped out and ran. Once I got out, it exploded and all of the cats got injured. I told the soldiers what had happened. They drove the animals to the zoo. We got the liger and brought it to the zoo too. If you see the liger when you visit the zoo, you will know how it got there!
